Overview

Background

Our team partnered with a private medical device company to redefine the user experience of a web and mobile app that uses wearable patch technology to monitor patient temperatures.

• User feedback emphasized the need for a more streamlined, user-friendly interface.
• The current clinician web app and patient mobile app were limited to monitoring a single vital sign, temperature (T).
• The company sought to integrate additional vital signs, such as blood pressure (BP), heart rate (HR), heart rate variability (HRV), oxygen saturation (SpO2), and respiratory rate (RR), into their existing products.

Strategy

Close collaboration between myself and the lead UI designer was pivotal in ensuring a research-centric redesign firmly grounded in tangible data.

• Assess the functionality of the current apps and become acquainted with the wearable technology.
